| The bride and groom. :) |
My family usually takes a trip to Ohio during the summer. This year was a short trip given I'm trying to save vacation time for Cancun and the holidays and unfortunately Matt wasn't able to come at all. Needless-to-say, we had a jam packed three days in Ohio!
My mom, dad, Sandra, Ryan and I rode up to Ohio together for my cousin Jill's wedding reception and my great-Uncle Pete's funeral. We hadn't seen the family seen Sandra and Ryan's wedding so it was great to see everyone again.
The wedding was amazing! We danced all night long. Jill looked beautiful! The next day, we got to hang out more with more of the wedding guests at my cousin's house. It was great to spend more time with everyone. We even got to meet some new baby cousins on this trip. My cousin Jeff and his wife Erica had a baby back in January. Grayson is too cute! Why did I not take any photos of him?!
During our time in Ohio, we visited the local ice cream stand that we've been going to since we were little. We probably haven't been in years so it was nice to go and remember all the times we went with my grandpa, my aunt, and uncle.

On the way home, we took the "scenic" route. I think we literally saw every small town between Ohio and Northern Virginia. We stopped at an overlook, which my dad then remembered from when he was little. He said his family had stopped there when he was about five years old. He remembered that his parents pretended that they were going to leave him there and even got his suitcase out. haha. Do you think he was traumatized if he remembers it 50 years later? Anyways, it was a pretty view. He said it was called "Saddleback Mountain."
