Fredericksburg Visit

The weekend before we were scheduled to be induced with William (because of me having gestational diabetes, they wanted to induce me at 39 weeks), Matt and I headed down to Fredericksburg. We both had Monday off for Columbus Day and so we went to visit on Sunday. Matt's dad was having everyone over to see their new place (finally ready for guests after a crazy move from Florida over the summer).

It was such a great trip! Their house is down the street from the college that Matt and I both went to. It's also literally right across the street from the newspaper that I interned at! It's a nice, new townhouse right in the middle of downtown Fredericksburg.

We got to visit with both Matt's step sisters, his younger siblings, parents and grandparents. We told them our plan for the week. I was to work until Wednesday, we'd have dinner and then head to the hospital the night before our induction. Everyone thought this was so funny how we had it all planned. Really, I had no signs of labor or this kid popping out any time soon so we thought I'd make it to my induction date. I guess William had another plan...more on that later.

While we were visiting, we had quite possibly the biggest pizza I've ever seen. Love it!
