This Week's Thoughts: These past few weeks I'm torn with emotions (maybe the reason I haven't been up for catching up on blogging lately). I am extremely excited and nervous to start a new job closer to home (yay!). It's back to being a manager position (when I got laid off I took a coordinator position thinking it sounded like things I had done in my previous job, which it was...I just didn't realize that would be so micromanaging here and not really want my opinion....).
The most exciting thing is that I have my own office. I've never had my own office! The new job is only about five miles from my house. Love it! So I'm now making almost $10,000 more and not paying thousands of dollars a year to commute into D.C. Yay!
Cross your fingers and send lots of prayers that this new organization is a good one.
What I'm Reading: As I mentioned above, the new job thing has kind of had my mind in a complete whirlwind lately so focusing enough to read has been hard. I did manage to read a cozy mystery this week and hope that I can get more into reading in March. On a side note, has anyone else noticed that the Goodreads challenge doesn't tell you how far behind or ahead you are on books? Is it just me? I kind of liked that feature. It's just telling me I'm "on track" now.
On Audiobook: Mini Shopaholic by
Sophie Kinsella. I've been listening to this for a while now. Boy is it long. Not sure I love this series as much as I used to.
In Hardback: Someone Else's Love Story
by Joshilyn Jackson. I love love love Joshilyn Jackson. I will finish this book in March. I must!
