My sister, Sandra's, birthday fell on the first Saturday in October. Her and Ryan are going to NYC to celebrate for the coming long weekend (so jealous! I love NYC!), but we got the celebrate with her on her actual birthday.
We all met at mom and dad's and played a little cards before heading out. Sandra wanted to go to Stephens City (about an hour and half away from us) for the day to play miniature golf and go to the
drive-in movies. It was unusually hot (90 degrees!) that day. So beautiful for a day outside.
Mom and grandma joined us for miniature golf. Grandma even played and said she had a good day when she got home that night. :)
Us young ones headed to the drive-in after golf. We got there just in time to get a spot where we could watch "
Gravity" and "
Prisoners." None of us really liked "Gravity" (really, can someone explain this movie to me?), but we all liked "Prisoners." The ending leaves a little to interpretation, so we had an interesting discussion on the ride home.
