Alzheimer's Walk 2013

For the fourth year in a row, my family and my friend Julia participated in the Alzheimer's Association walk at the Reston Town Center. This year was extra special because my grandma, who has Alzheimer's, was able to join since she now lives here in Virginia with my parents. I was freshly home from my business trip in Chicago (I'll post about that later!).

My aunt also came from Ohio for the first time, as well as Julia's parents (from New Jersey). My aunt raised enough money to get a banner. It's blank so we saved it for next year to decorate in honor of our relatives affected by Alzheimer's. SRA Cares, Sandra's company who we normally walk with had a banner again this year that they decorated with our relatives names.
Mom was a little distracting for us at this year's walk (just an upsetting day for her with the impending furlough coming for the government) so not our best walk yet...but still really a great cause, with great people.

A big thank you to all those that supported our team!  We are so thankful for everyone. Hopefully one day we can find a cure for this horrible disease.
