Since You Been Gone!

I probably shouldn't admit how many times I've seen Kelly Clarkson in concert, but it's no secret and I love her every time! She is fun and literally gets me jumping and I can't get enough. As I stated in my previous post, I almost didn't go to this current tour because I've been to a ton of concerts already this summer. But thanks to Groupon, Burry and I continued our concert tour and it was AMAZING!

My other bestie, Erica was there with her sister. Burry and Erica have probably been to as many Kelly concerts as I have. Oh the stories Erica and I could tell...like the time we drove to Hershey, Pa. for a concert or the time we made t-shirts that ended up getting us floor seats...but I digress from our current concert.

Carolina Liar we had seen before and I don't quite know their music except for one song, but we did enjoy them and they energy was great! The main singer was so fun and cheery!

So close! Burry refrained from grabbing Isaac,
like she did Gavin. haha!
Then The Fray came on and honestly, they were the biggest surprise of the night. I haven't kept up the all their new music, but I used to listen to them all the time in college. But OMG, sooooo soooo good!

The Fray is from Denver, which is just outside of Aurora and they asked the audience to stand for a song in honor of those affected by the latest shooting (ironic/sad that the next day there was a shooting outside the Empire State Building.). This was so moving!

While they sang that song, the main singer started walking out into the audience--where does he stop?--At the end of the row behind us. Burry jumped the row and got to stand right by him-amazing! I don't care quite as much and just took some pics instead. Too bad I didn't have my actual camera (because you know with our crappy seats we didn't need it! ha!). My iPhone pics will have to do.

Last but not least was Kelly. I cannot say enough about how much I love her as a performer. When she sings slower songs, I am so in awe of her voice and its beauty, I literally cannot sing along.

As I listened or sang along to the music Thursday night, I was again reminded of how much I love live music. Honestly, if I could somehow be part of this industry, I would be in heaven. I know many people probably say that, but I truly mean that. I am in awe of musicians every time I go. I would never want to be on stage myself, but to be a part of making it happen--love it!

I left Thursday knowing that the concert was amazing! It wasn't until Friday that I realized just how much live music affects me. It rejuvenates me and truly makes me happy. Even though I had a little less sleep than usual and probably should have been tired on Friday, I was cheer and happy and just beaming on Friday. Granted I like my job anyway, but as I mentioned in a previous post, I've kind of been in a funk. Needless-to-say, the concert was just what I needed! :)

So thank you to musicians and all those who make live music happen!
