I started my job at CEC with two months until our Annual Convention & Expo, a very busy time! So this month, I headed to Denver-ready or not.

The convention went well and I came back more inspired than ever and loving my job. The highlight of the convention were the
Yes I Can! awards events for students and youth with exceptionalities. I help manage these awards and the families were so grateful to us for everything. Parents thanked me and hugged me. It was very moving!

Denver itself was great too, very welcoming and such kind people. Here are pictures of signs they hang all around town and there was even a
welcome sign at the airport! The city is very pedestrian friendly. I had never seen street cars, which was fun-notice the tracks in my photos!
I got my picture taken in front of the convention center's big blue bear, who you can see looking in from the inside! haha.
My only disappointment was that I didn't see any mountains! :(
Overall, it was a wonderful trip. I learned my lesson from Salt Lake City and brought lots of moisturizer and lotion and drank lots of water-definitely a must if you head to this mile high city!
