Much has happened in the Christie/Elkin household since my last post, but most recently, Hogan turned one this week! Since we have gotten him, he has grown, matured, and learned so much already. I can't wait to see how things will change as he continues to learn.Basenjis are a smart breed when they want something and he has quickly learned "sit" and "come" when it is to his advantage. We continue to work on these all the time and "stay" is always a challenge.
Hogan's chewing and high energy have already started to slow a little (yeah for our furniture!).
I reflect back to when we first got him though and he really has learned a lot. When we first got him he was afraid of stairs, other dogs, couldn't jump on furniture (ok, this last one wasn't a problem! haha). He's come a long way and we continue to work with him to make him more social (a hard thing to do with some basenjis!).Hogan is truly loved and the "baby" in our lives right now and as I predicted totally spoiled.
