Hogan: Our Little Bundle of Fur

I'm not a dog person. Never have been since the first grade when I was chased by one. But oh the things you do for love. Here's the latest edition to the Christie/Elkin household. His name is Hogan and he is a 6-month old Basenji. While Matt will tell you he is named after Hulk Hogan, I liked the name because it means "young" and "childlike," which is very characteristic of his curious-natured breed. I can already predict that Hogan will most definitely be spoiled in various ways by Matt and I both.

Within the first day, Hogan already decided that Matt was his person. Now anytime he can't see Matt, Hogan starts to panic just a little (first time he howled for a few minutes so now just circling the house with a little whining isn't bad!).

While Matt has had dogs growing up, he is no puppy expert. We're quickly trying to learn the ins and outs of doggy parenthood because we want the best for our little guy. Any advice from fellow puppy parents?
