Reader's Fantasy

I recently read Perfect Chemistry. While there was nothing spectacular about this book it was a good book. It was about two young high school students who fall in love. I flew through this book (I'm a slow reader so this is rare for me). I then thought to myself, "why was I so enthralled in this book?" I think the answer lies in why we read books in the first place. This book reminded me of my high school days. That feeling of being young and in love with anything and everything. Reading this book reminded me of those teenage feelings.

I think with every book I read there's always some underlying escape from my current life. Whether it's the fact that I'm thankful for what I have because I'm reading a sad book or like this book I can reminsce about "the good old days." I think a good book definitely helps me to escape and relax.

Why do you read?
