I decided to keep me motivated to go the gym, I needed something with a routine, something that would increase as time went on, and something challenging. So with that in mind, I started a couch to 5K program. I downlowed some free podcast from online. Suz's podcast seem to fit the type of music I listen to and she did all the timing so how hard could this be? Never great at running, I was a little nervous, but this was actually great. I love this program so far. I'm only at the end of week 5 right now (ok, so I've been slow with the running with some week's off), but I've enjoyed running and how it clears my head and energizes me.
In my short time running though, I've realized I have a lot to learn! Slowly increasing my pace and distance is not the only this to worry about. I'm wondering what advice avid runners out there have for a newbie. Tips of the Trade?
