I committed to a group to reach for certain goals this month. I have been somewhat good, but not great. I have committed to drinking less soda (hopefully I will stop altogether at some point), drinking more water and not snacking after dinner. I've done really well with these. For fitness, my goal was to start working out at home and moving more. I had hoped to do a longer workout twice a week. I haven't quite gotten there, but I have been doing the 15-minute routines that Sharon (trainer/coach) gives us. I have missed some days, but have done most.
I think this week, I am reminded that life can change at any moment. We can't take for granted that there will be a tomorrow. A close friend of mine was in the hospital last week and faces some health challenges ahead. It truly reminds me the gift that friendship is. Really friends and family give me life. I am thankful for them every day and the time I get to spend with them.
What I'm Reading: I am energized to really start reading again this year. At least one book a month! I have missed it so much and the online groups I was a part of. I think 2016 will be my year to get me back. 2014 & 2015 were really about William and the transition to motherhood. I've missed me!
On Nook: I just finished the latest book (not new, but still the latest for now) in my favorite cozy mystery series, The Diva Steals a Chocolate Kiss (A Domestic Diva Mystery #9) by Krista Davis. Love love love this series and this one doesn't disappoint. Her next book comes out in June and I've already pre-ordered it since I got a Barnes & Noble gift card for Christmas!
On Audiobook: I just downloaded from the library, Murder She Wrote: Margaritas and Murder by Jessica Fletcher/Donald Bain. I haven't read one in a while so I'm looking forward to listening to this one. Can't go wrong with margaritas! I think if it's not too cold, I want to get into walking outside more with William. A good audiobook will help motivate me!
