April started off with another long car trip to Ohio. We decided to visit family for Easter. My aunt puts on a big (I mean BIG!) Easter egg hunt and we hadn't been in a quite a few years. William was a champ on the car ride. A little restless some times, but we made it!
April continued to be a busy month with travels to Fredericksburg to celebrate Clint and Celia's wedding anniversary (I think it was 60 years married!). The following weekend, Matt's mom was in town to celebrate Blake and Matt's birthday. Stuart and Laurene hosted a big party for Blake's first birthday so we got to see all the family again!
William started sitting up on his own just after Easter.
A few notes on William's growth: He weighed 15 lbs. 12 oz. (17th
percentile) and was 26 inches long (22th percentile) at his six-month
checkup in April. William has put on some weight since I have dropped some pumps and had to formula feed him more. He has quickly moved into nine-month clothing--still fitting in some six-month clothing and 6-9 months fits perfect. Some 12-month clothing fits fine already too! We are starting to see some chunky thighs on our little lean boy! I love it!
