Our baby shower was the weekend after Stephanie and Jordan's wedding. It was hard to find a weekend this summer that worked for everyone, so it was a little early, but was nice since we were moving in August.
My sister, Sandra hosted the baby shower at her house. We wanted something co-ed and more like a party than shower. Mom and Jenna helped and they did have a few games with prizes. Ryan and Dad barbequed. The food was amazing!! Oh and my friend, Cam, made the most delicious cupcakes(
Lemon Blueberry and
Mallo Cupcakes. Everyone raved about the food!
Amazingly, so many people were able to attend. It was a whirlwind of everyone arriving at once. Sandra and Ryan's house was full of our loved ones. :) Matt's dad, unfortunately, got his car towed, so that was a bummer, but otherwise, it was a wonderful day.
We were so thankful to everyone for being so generous. We came away from the shower with so much for baby E. We had tons of clothes, blankets, diapers and baby bath stuff (a lot from my sister's awesome diaper cake). We got some big stuff too--a car seat, rock 'n play, little turtle, activity mat and toys. Oh and the best part was that we asked if people could include a book in their gift (if they wanted to) and we got so many books for William. He's got a great library now, which we pick from every night to read to him.
