After many long weeks, I finally feel comfortable sharing that Matt and I are expecting our first child in October! We are beyond excited (and nervous!). This will be the first grandchild on my side and the second grandchild on Matt's side (by four months).
Just this past weekend, Matt's brother and his wife had their baby shower. It was great to see Matt's family and spend time with his mom for the first time since we've been pregnant. Our families are excited as well and can't wait.
Beyond baby news, my new job is going well. My coworkers are amazing! Seriously, the nicest people. The most important thing though is that they think and work like I like to. This association truly is a great match for me. My job itself is interesting. It's more strategic for me and a great step up. I feel I will be challenged, but in areas that interest me. I continue to love it here and couldn't ask for a better transition into a new environment.
Spring has finally sprung in the D.C. area and I LOVE it. While I've had much to be happy and thankful for lately, warmer weather is just the icing on the cake that makes me happy.
