My grandma has been talking about her birthday since she came to Virginia back in December. Every time we saw her she'd tell us she was going to be 84 on June 24.So when her birthday finally got here, she didn't know what she wanted to do. My aunt came to town and we celebrated my grandma's birthday a little early.
My parent's wedding anniversary happens to be the same day as my grandma's birthday. They celebrated 35 years together! My aunt watched my grandma for the weekend and they went off to West Virginia to see the mountains.
By the time my grandma's birthday came on Monday, she didn't remember that we had already celebrated--the sad part of about her disease. :( We have learned to live life with happiness and make the most of each day.
Happy Birthday Grandma! You have taught us much. May we have many more memories with you.
