So in late July, we left mid-morning one Saturday for Maryland. First, we stopped by some sunflower fields. The flowers were endless! Unfortunately, we happen to go on a cloudy day so most of the sunflowers were droopy, but it was still pretty.
Next, we stopped by a nearby farm, Homestead Farm. During the summer, they have pick your own peaches and blackberries. They also have a little patch of flowers that you can pick as well. I've never picked my own peaches, it was so much fun.
I think the best part was the flowers though. You can pick as many flowers that will fit in a flower bouquet--all for $4! We weren't sure they would make the drive back home because it was so hot out, but I put them in water when we got home and they perked back up. The flowers lasted for almost two weeks!
