The Elkins in Cancun

Matt and I started off 2013 with a trip to Cancun! Matt's brother got married there on Jan. 5, so we made it a little vacation. It was nice that is was close to my birthday too. While we weren't there for my birthday, it was still close enough and it was fabulous!

The wedding was beautiful! Stuart and Laurene looked so happy. It was great to spend so much time with Matt's family.

It was the first time Matt and I had stayed at an all inclusive resort, which was interesting. Our room overlooked the over (see the picture to the right). We had a corner room, so our room was full of windows, including one in the bathroom! Our balcony was two-sided and overlooked the Catholic chapel too. Our room was was interesting as it was all by itself through some doors in a stairwell. This might have been a good thing though because it blocked out the noise from other guests going to their rooms. It was just interesting because you would have never guessed our room was back where it was.

My mother-in-laws were very generous and gave me a massage (one from each of them!) as a gift while I was in Cancun. I've never had a massage so it was wonderful to have two in less than a week. Matt joined me for a massage on a the beach. It was so relaxing! Thanks Deane and Carla!
