Last night the Nationals become the 2012 National League East Champs! It's the first time since 1933 that the Nationals have made it to the playoffs. Crazy! Us Washingtonians are highly excited here in the D.C. area.
A few weekends back, my friend, Burry, and I happen to go to a game just two days after the Nationals found out they were going to the playoffs. That news, plus a concert by Dierks Bentley, made for one of the best times I've had at the Nationals Park. The atmosphere was just buzzing; it was amazing! We happen to have great seats right behind the opposing team's dugout.

The Nationals played the Brewers, where my former favorite Nats player Nyjer Morgan plays for currently. It was a nice perk to get to see him play that day. Also, during the game, Gio Gonzalez won his 20th game, making the day even more exciting. The stadium cheered for him when he left the mound that night.
During the concert, Burry and her mom went on the field; they went on the field! What a great experience that is. Their friend, Nancy, and I stayed in our seats for the concert. We got to see Burry and her mom on the screen twice! So cool!
